Since joining it in 1985, I have been a regular member of the BBC Antiques Roadshow (now in its 30th season), appearing on numerous antiques oriented series and programmes, both on TV and radio.  My own 12-part series on BBC4, Inside Antiques (2002) continues to be repeated.
My TV and especially radio work is currently expanding beyond the antiques boundary: with biography (eg In search of Hans Christian Andersen - with Michael Rosen, 2005;  Vilhelm Hammershøi - with Michael Palin, 2004);  social history (eg Men in Bow Ties, 2007) and historical-present day travelogue (eg China on a Plate).
