Cruises
I am often invited to give talks and presentations on cruise ships as well as to house parties abroad.  My most frequent engagements are on the Scandinavian and Baltic circuits (mostly through Fred. Olsen Cruise lines) and I have also recently begun to lecture in the Pacific (Australia –Marianas Islands – Japan – Shanghai) on the Radisson/Regent lines.  For forthcoming cruises please visit the "News & Bulletin" page.

I also accompany cultural tours as guide/ lecturer: again, mainly to the Far East with Cox & Kings and to Scandinavia with Martin Randall Travel.  I am happy to discuss and design tours of whatever length or location, whether in the UK or further afield.

House Parties etc. 
Lisa and Marc Allum - a colleague from the Antiques Roadshow - have refurbished and recently opened the Château Coÿe, a charming property in the gentle French Basque country, two hours south of Bordeaux, an hour and a half east of Biarritz, with the Pyrenees visible to the south on clear days.  In 2007 Marc and Lisa invited me to join one of their first 5-day house parties with a programme of informal talks, excellent food and occasional excursions to local villages, vineyards and châteaux. 
Marc and Lisa run several themes (including painting and photography).  For information on upcoming events and tariffs you should contact them direct   My next Château Coÿe visit, in September 2008, is planned in conjunction with the Antique Collectors’ Club.
